The Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement between EFTA and India entered into force on 1 October 2025.
The deal, signed on 10 March 2024, involves India and the member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) — Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
In a joint statement, the two governments said the agreement “ensures better market access and simplifies customs procedures, facilitating the expansion of Indian and EFTA businesses into growing markets.”
