Argentina: 18 provinces have adopted zero alcohol law

Written by Redazione

Eighteen provinces in Argentina have now adopted the Zero Alcohol Law for driving vehicles. Only five provinces and the City of Buenos Aires have not yet adopted the legislation. The Zero Alcohol Driving Law took effect on all national highways in May 2023.

"These types of decisions, together with the reduction of driving licence points for infractions, the Alcoholemia Federal campaigns with which we control drink-driving and the use of child car seats for children, have allowed us to reduce road deaths by 30% compared to historical figures," explained Transport Minister Diego Giuliano.
