The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has reportedly created a category for ready to drink alcohol beverages and low-alcohol beverages, establishing standards, composition, definition, and safety for those beverages. The FSSAI has also issued regulations defining “country liquor” or “Indian liquor” and the components that should go into its making.
