WineAmerica, the National Association of American Wineries, reported progress in a vineyard acreage survey covering all 50 states. An Omnibus spending bill signed into law at the end of 2022 encourages the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service to reinstate its five-year Vineyard and Orchard Acreage Study and resume data collection and reporting so that grape, wine, and juice producers can remain competitive and respond to challenges in the industry.
