The Supreme Council of Ukraine has reportedly adopted draft legislation, "On geographical indications of alcoholic beverages," (No. 6480) in the second reading.
The draft law implements into the national legislation of Ukraine the provisions of the Regulation of the European Parliament and the Council (EU) No. 2019/787 of April 17, 2019 regarding the definition, description, presentation and labelling of alcohol beverages, the use of the names of alcohol beverages in the presentation and labelling of other food products, and the protection of geographical indications for alcohol beverages.
