Following Russia’s annexation of four Ukrainian regions, New Zealand's Foreign Minister announced new sanctions from early November that prohibit the direct export of New Zealand wine and seafood to Russia, as well as the import of Russian vodka and caviar. New Zealand also reportedly extended a 35% tariff on Russian imports till March 2025 which was due to expire this November.
