# Il Regno Unito aderisce formalmente al CPTPP

Il 15 dicembre 2024, il Regno Unito ha formalmente aderito al Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). Il Regno Unito è ora in grado di commerciare con 8 membri del CPTPP secondo i termini dell'accordo, tra cui Australia, Brunei, Cile, Giappone, Malesia, Nuova Zelanda, Perù, Singapore e Vietnam. Potranno commerciare con Canada e Messico 60 giorni dopo che questi due paesi avranno ratificato l'adesione del Regno Unito.

 Oltre il 99% delle merci britanniche attualmente esportate nei paesi CPTPP saranno ammissibili al commercio esente da dazi. Le tariffe sulle esportazioni britanniche di whisky in Malesia, attualmente vicine all'80 percento, saranno rimosse entro 10 anni.
