The National Assembly is the lower house of South Africa’s Parliament. MP Mente is a member of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), a political party that currently holds 9.8% of parliamentary seats. She served as the party’s National Chairperson from December 2019 to December 2024 and has been a member of the National Assembly since May 2014.
