The Senate Commission on Human Rights, Rule of Law, and Petitions has announced its support for the Poland Christian Democrat’s (PiS) proposal for mandatory health warning labels against alcohol consumption while pregnant. Alcohol producers could be required to place the message “I do not drink during pregnancy” on their products, and PiS Senators will begin drafting legislation to this effect after consultation with experts and stakeholders. The Ministry of Health has expressed support for the proposal.
