Wine and spirits businesses are seeking help from the UK government regarding mandatory glass recycling costs which have increased nearly tenfold since 2018 and are threatening to erase the profits of companies.

The Wine and Spirit Trade Association, the Scotch Whisky Association, and the British Beer and Pub Association have asked the UK Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs to introduce urgent reforms to reduce volatility and boost transparency concerning the costs.
