The United States Treasury Department’s Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) reportedly has agreed to issue proposed rules requiring standardised alcohol content, calorie, and allergen labeling on all beer, wine, and distilled spirits products.
The TTB has also reportedly agreed to begin preliminary rulemaking on mandatory ingredient labeling.
