A wildfire in southwestern France, worsened by strong winds and high temperatures, has destroyed approximately 7,400 hectares (18,286 acres) of forest, forcing 10,000 residents to leave the area.
More than 1,000 firefighters, including 65 German firefighters and others expected from Poland and Romania, are battling the blaze.
A wildfire in the same area burned 14,000 hectares (34,595 acres) in July 2022.
