The General Commission of the State Agricultural Insurance Entity (ENESA) reportedly has met with Agroseguro, the Spanish Association of Combined Agricultural Insurance Entities, to approve the reduction of grape insurance costs on average by more than 20%, depending on the contracted modality for each farm.
Due to a tariff increase in some regions, however, it is estimated that the cost to be paid by winegrowers will likely fall on average by 14%.
