The value of the lower alcohol wine category in the United States reportedly exceeds $1 billion with a compound annual growth rate forecast for 2021-2025 of 27% for lower alcohol still wine and 30% for lower alcohol sparkling wine.

Forty percent of those who drink wine regularly in the United States reportedly want to moderate their consumption of alcohol and would consider purchasing low alcohol wine due to perceived health benefits, including lower calories.

Data suggests that millennial wine drinkers are significantly more likely to choose low-alcohol wine.
