Exports of Kentucky bourbon reportedly fell by 34% during 2020, but if European tariffs on American whiskey increase to 50% in June 2021, the damage will worsen even further. The Kentucky Distillers Association, as well as the two U.S. Members of Congress who chair the Bourbon Caucus, are asking the Biden administration to suspend tariffs with the European Union and resolve the ongoing trade disputes before more long-term damage has been done.
