The U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) entered into force on 01 July 2020, replacing the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The new agreement’s many important provisions include maintaining duty-free treatment for spirits, preserving recognition of distinctive products, and introducing new norms regarding certification for alcohol beverages.
